Phasing of execution: Major earthworks were required in the initial phase. We excavated nearly 200m³ of clay soil from site. The high water table and clay content meant that we had to install subsoil drainage. Hard landscaping was then completed, including water feature, garden light and pavers. After this planting and soil improvements commenced.

The biggest challenge was getting the excavated soil from the upper garden area to street level. Skips had to be filled and carted away 6m³ at a time. Getting material up to the garden also had its challenges. Materials such as lawn sods and compost.
