Italian architect Marco Braghiroli is the founder and managing director of Prestige Architects Ltd. Specialising in high-end, bespoke boutique residential projects, this architectural firm is proud to have managed projects throughout the UK and abroad, creating some of the most beautiful and innovative living spaces.

With a keen eye for detail and a deep passion for design, Marco has been instrumental in the creation of numerous private London residencies and English country estates. In addition, his company has also designed homes in Greece, Monte Carlo, Italy and the Caribbean.

Today’s inspirational gem comes from Prestige’s bustling portfolio – a Chelsea maisonette which features the company’s full architectural and interior design services, from concept straight through to completion. Appointed in 2013 to completely refurbish this structure located off the Kings Road in London, the 160 m² apartment was quite dated with its two bedrooms and one bathroom on the first floor, and a living room, dining room and kitchen at ground-floor level.

Let’s see the fascinating new results…

The living room

Complete with timber flooring and a sleek fireplace, the living room’s new look is one of high-end comfort and top-quality appeal. But, of course, this inviting new style did not come easily.

The brief presented to the professionals was quite challenging, but within the 6-month project they successfully reconfigured and refurbished the existing two bedrooms and one bathroom. A landing linen cupboard was also created in order to maximize space and transform it into a home with character.

Downstairs, the living room and dining room area was maintained, with both areas complementing an open layout which aids in a social lifestyle.

The kitchen

With plenty of storage and modern fixtures, the sleek Italian kitchen is the prized heart of this home.

Every piece of joinery in the project has been designed as bespoke elements. Together with the increased room sizes and the sleek kitchen’s new design, the homeowners now enjoy a greater use of the space, as well as direct access to the rear garden.

The bathroom

Bespoke wooden finishings is the first element that takes our breaths away upon entering this bathroom.

Similar to the other spaces of this maisonette, the approach to design was a settled look with a modern twist, ensuring continuity throughout the project and a look that neatly ties together all interior areas.

Let’s enjoy a few more visuals that detail this high-end project completed most satisfactorily.
