If I could give a ZERO i would... These people just bought the building that my ministry was housed in for the past 5 1/2 years as of Jan,2021. They told the previous owner they would not be raising rents and wanted everyone to stay. Since the purchase all rents have been raised and people have been put out and asked to leave. Because i did not want to sign an extended lease with them, i was given the "only other option", a 30-day notice to vacate. For someone whose online presence is always presenting itself as supportive of business building, it appears they are only interested in supporting businesses that are contractually indebted to them through leases. If no lease, then they are prepared to basically destroy your business. In the 3 months they have owned the building the grounds keeping services have been cancelled, trash bins have been reduced to ONE bin for a building that houses almost 20 businesses. Renting spaces the size of a bathroom. Its disgusting and wreaks of slumlord activity. I am glad to be going and i leave my prayers with my neighboring businesses who are stuck in staying. Beware of Horizon Commercial properties. they all smiles until they get you locked into a lease. I also notice they are buying up plazas that predominantly house minority owned businesses. Buyer Beware!! We are NOT the only business that has had this kind of experience. They bank on minority owned businesses NOT standing up, NOT saying anything, and going along to get along. People need to know about their practices so that other businesses don't get caught up in the same bad situation. HCL SUCKS!!!!
