Italian, daughter of art (comes from a family of famous Sicilian sculptors), Simona formally approached the artistic world while attending the art school and then the Architecture University in Naples, where she graduated with honors at the age of 25.
In 2002, she moved to Milan and after a short professional activity in the construction industry, she specialized in interior design. In 2005, she began working closely with the architectural firm BSA in Turin, which helped her to enrich the contents of her design.
The passion that she has for the history of art is always present, conceptually, in all of her works. The architecture, as an art applied to daily life, becomes the medium that allows her to combine the space/environment with the metaphysical one. Each designed and produced element has a vital relationship with thinking processes. The results are spaces fraught with conceptual elements that live with human beings, that rejoin their habits, their logic, or, in the case of the much wider projects, that interact with the environment. The pencil (rather than the computer) is the main tool for her to design. Her artistic ability allows her to have a much broader vision of the space and to bring to light opportunities that would remain hidden otherwise.
Since 2008 she lives and works in Madrid.
