Different sources of lighting have been introduced in order to create different atmospheres and moods. The wall lights on either side of the mirror are in textured cast metal with moonstone back lit LED’s. The pendant lights by the bed are hand-blown faceted waxed glass.
Attention to detail and bespoke touches give this simple bathroom a luxurious feel. To add visual perception of depth to a relatively small space, the bespoke hand-painted glass panel behind the bath is created by painting the background shade on to the back of the glass. The pattern, depth of color and shine is then applied using silver, gold or copper leaf; colors are all hand-mixed to achieve the perfect tone. The panels are made from toughened glass and can be cut to size.
Taps are hand-cut crystal with chrome. The bath panel, wall paneling, cornicing and vanity unit are all in glossy pained wood.. The floor is in cross cut marble as is the ledge around the bath. The bath has a bespoke chrome trim.
Designed to provide a clever solution to bathroom storage, this bathroom butler is a convenient way to access whilst removing the element of clutter around the bath.
The jewel in the crown of this small cloakroom space is the recycled glass basin. It is lit from within by LED’s that emphasize the luminous qualities of the material. Sheer fabric was laminated in sheets of glass for the walk in shower door. Taps are in chrome with wenge inserts
The simple linear kitchen has reflective doors made out of bronzed glass in bronze frames. Fabric and copperleaf have been laminated in sheets of glass to further add reflective qualities to the splashback.
The Italian pendant lights have bronze diffusers and dimmers to create mood lighting for dining. Decorative wall lights are in metal and moonstone, back lit with LED’s.

“It is a common misconception that the fewer pieces of furniture and features you have in a space, the bigger it will look – this isn’t actually the case. The more zones and features you have the more it creates a perception of different areas within one room. The trick is not to have too many contrasts or palette juxtapositions but to use neutral tones in a variety of different textures and materials” says the designer Irina Townsend.
A material that consists of layers of liquid metal and resin has been used to clad the fireplace surround, hand chiselled to create a crackled effect it has a textured appearance that is tactile and visually stimulating.
In order to create a link with the liquid metal feature wall, Keir Townsend has collaborated with an Italian manufacturer on production of the copper coffee table which features a unique process involving applying patinated metal strips of different widths to furniture surfaces.
The velvet upholstered sofa has a matching ottoman which was specially designed for the flat giving a feeling of expansive luxury and providing extra seating if required.
The study has been designed to create maximum storage, under and on either side of the fitted sofa that also doubles as a guest bed.
The wall of wardrobes opposite encompasses a pull-out desk/ dressing table.
The tobacco coloured wood is offset by the dramatic orange of the silk and velvet cushions and the leather chair.
The artwork was commissioned bespoke for the project in order to create decorative pieces with reflective qualities. These feature a technique of applying metals, varnishes and patinas to glass.
